This week the lovely Tara Achille from the blog t-achille tells us about her secret weakness for sweets, the inspiring swinging 60’s and her love of art!
What inspired you to start blogging?
- Well originally, before i started blogging myself, i would bookmark a load of blogs i loved and would check them every second of everyday just to see if anyone had updated (lame? Yes.) haha, but that became a bit of a hassel after a while so i just decided to get myself an account on bloggar so i could really keep up to date and from there i loved searching for images that inspired me to put on my blog in hope, i guess, to inspire others how i was with many other peoples blogs.
We love your style! What inspires you? Do you have any style icons?
- haha thank you! What probably inspires me the most are the people on the streets of London and i love the 60's and possibly the 80's but theres some dodgie stuff in that era that should never ever emerge into the fashion industry ever again. But if i had to pin point people - i'd probably say Edie Segdewick, Alexa Chung or the Olsen twins.
Away from blogging what do you enjoy doing?
- Art is quite a main thing in my life (could i sound anymore corny?), retail theropy cures all my problems and hanging out with my friends with a bottle of vino. And i love altering my clothes and turning them into something completely different.
Your life described in a song title:
- Sadly my life just isnt that exciting for its own song title - but i'd love my life theme music to be the jaws tune just so it would spice it up a bit...
What makes you happy?
- i'll let you into a little secret of mine - foxes vienese biscuits make me the happiest, they're actually my weakness.
5 things you never leave home without:
- iPhone, my oyster card, my tiffany ring, chewing gum and money
Which blogs do you follow?
- Knight cat - it's like my daily fix for fashion.
Any New Year’s resolutions?
- My stupid resolution is to go to the gym and give up chocolate (it never works, i dont know why i even try last year i failed 10hours into the 2009 by having nutella on my toast) and my deep resolution is not to think to much about situations because im always the one that ends up in the worse of position. And be spontaneous!
And finally, why should people read your blog?
- I guess a lot of the blogs i follow charge some sort of creative spark. They inspire me to create something in my art work or dress in a way i feel i want to. And that’s what i hope others get out of my blog - to inspire others not just through photos but the way i dress. If my blog has the ability to inspire a few people then thats great!
